SP-16 is a parallel/serial converter module which can be used in ARL500 and ARCODE. SP-16 allows using existing parallel car installations with ARL500 and ARCODE control panels which normally work with serial communication. A single SP16 board supports 16 floors in up/down collective operations and 9 floors in full collective operations. More than a single board may be used for higher support. With SP16, existing parallel wired connections can be used through 7-segment and gray code outputs.
